莫汝和，1940年生，四川南充市南部县人，中共党员，现居苏州。他青年时喜爱书画，因工作需要多次调动工作，书画爱好，随影不离。退休后，人闲志不闲，一心专攻书画研究。并通过高等专业学习，培训进修深造，使文化艺术思想，理念，技艺得到迅速提高，并理论与实践相结合，行旅采风，走遍祖国东中西南北大好河山，感受到祖国山河壮美，激情满怀，为山水画创作打下厚实基礎。在几十年中，他很少个人休息，不停竭地挥毫书写作画。创作出许多书画作品，发表于报刊，杂志，辞书，网站及央视电台等宣传报道。在社会上产生积极而广范影响和荣获多家相关机构表彰及授予多次荣誉称号。功夫不负有心人，获得艺术成就。国家授予他《中国爱国艺术家》终身荣誉称号，《国家特级书画家》，《国家特级美术师》，《国家级艺术大师》，《央美艺术，智库专家》以及《共和国文化艺术杰出代表人物》，《一代名家》等荣誉称号。
