抽象艺术的理性标准
经过了后现代主义,当代艺术呈现出男女平等的态势。中国当代的女性艺术家,涌现出包括姜杰等在内的一大批强调男性与女性平等的艺术家,她们不仅在观念上,而且在艺术语言、艺术题材上,不强调女性的特殊性。因此,在女艺术家的代际划分上,从身份而言,雷双应该划入典型的当代女艺术家的范畴。

The Rational Standards of Abstract Art
After postmodernism, contemporary art presents a trend of gender equality. A large number of contemporary female artists in China, including Jiang Jie, have emerged who emphasize the equality between men and women. They not only have a concept, but also do not emphasize the uniqueness of women in artistic language and themes. Therefore, in terms of identity, Lei Shuang should beified as a typical contemporary female artist in terms of intergenerational division of female artists.

雷双的葵花给我留下了非常深刻的印象。在中外艺术史上有很多以葵花为题材的艺术家,比如凡·高的葵花、许江的葵花。相比较而言,凡·高的葵花是一种静物,而雷双的葵花是一种葵花的肖像和葵花的风景,把葵花作为一种风景来画。她给了它一个虚拟的、广阔的空间作为背景,尤其是那些扭曲的葵花形象,在我看来,它象征着生命的脆弱与倔强的双重含义,这种葵花的形象让人过目难忘。

Lei Shuang's sunflowers left a very deep impression on me. There are many artists in the history of Chinese and foreign art who focus on sunflowers, such as Van Gogh's sunflowers and Xu Jiang's sunflowers. By contrast, Van Gogh's sunflowers are a still life, while Lei Shuang's sunflowers are a portrait of sunflowers and a landscape of sunflowers, depicting sunflowers as a landscape. She gave it a virtual and vast space as the background, especially those distorted sunflower images. 在雷双抽象表现主义风格的作品中,我最欣赏的是“光寂”系列,这一组作品的个性更鲜明,既有光又有色,既有想象又有理性。她所谓的理性主要体现在对螺旋形几何曲线的运用,这个特别别致。我觉得这是中国所有的抽象表现主义绘画中非常独特的一种形式。我把这样的作品称为抽象,因为抽象是生命和宇宙本质的揭示。而在中国有大量凭直觉靠感性作画的人,他们往往采用泼彩泼墨的方式来制作所谓的抽象画,这种形式是通过色彩自然的流动,呈现出一种偶然性的形象,它仍然模拟的是自然界的外在表象,跟抽象艺术是背道而驰的。我甚至认为如果没有一点儿理性的话,抽象绘画还有什么价值?中国现在画抽象的人太多了,也导致抽象艺术变成了一个精神性极高,而门槛极低的一个领域,抽象艺术被搞烂了。因此,我仍然要强调抽象艺术的标准,强调抽象艺术的理性。从这个角度来讲,雷双的“光寂”系列,给中国的抽象表现主义绘画提供了一个新的面貌,我觉得这甚至是一种突破,是非常难能可贵的。雷双在锦都展出的那个抽象系列,还没有显示出这么鲜明的个性。抽象表现主义在西方已经变成了民俗化的一种绘画风格,现在要创造出一种新的面貌非常不容易。雷双通过这样一种几何形的方式,为抽象表现主义打开了一个新的大门。文/王端廷

In Lei Shuang's abstract expressionist style works, what I admire the most is the "Light Silence" series. This group of works has a more distinct personality, with both light and color, imagination and rationality. Her so-called rationality is mainly reflected in the use of spiral geometric curves, which is particularly unique. I think this is a very unique form among all abstract expressionist paintings in China. I call such works abstract because abstraction is the revelation of the essence of life and the universe. And in China there are a lot of people who paint by intuition and sensibility. They often use the method of splashing colors and ink to create so-called abstract paintings. This form presents a random image through the natural flow of colors, which still simulates the external appearance of nature and goes against abstract art. I even think that without a bit of rationality, what value does abstract painting have? There are too many people painting abstract art in China now, which has led to abstract art becoming a highly spiritual and low threshold field, and abstract art has been ruined. Therefore, I still need to emphasize the standards of abstract art and the rationality of abstract art. From this perspective, Lei Shuang's "Light Silence" series has provided a new perspective for abstract expressionist painting in China, and I think this is even a breakthrough, which is very valuable. The abstract series exhibited by Lei Shuang in Jindu has not yet shown such a distinct personality. Abstract Expressionism has become a folk style of painting in the West, and it is now very difficult to create a new appearance. Lei Shuang opened a new door to abstract expressionism through this geometric form.Text/Wang Duanting
