Decombel Danny Camiel, a 61-year-old Belgian businessman, was presented with the first permanent residence permit for foreigners in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the morning of October 21 at the Eighth Division Shihezi Citizen Center.

61岁的比利时商人Decombel Danny Camiel在10月21日上午，在第八师石河子市民中心，被授予新疆生产建设兵团首个外国人永久居留证。

Danny Camiel began his journey in China in 1988 when he joined a joint venture in Baoan, Shenzhen, working in feed testing. He has since made China his home. After relocating his business to the Xinjiang Corps in 2005, he established a fertilizer factory and has been a resident of the region for nearly 20 years.

In March of this year, Camiel applied for permanent residence through the Shihezi Public Security Bureau’s Entry and Exit Administration. Upon receiving the application, the bureau conducted a thorough verification of his eligibility. They recognized Camiel's significant contributions to agricultural development in the region, determining that he met the permanent residence approval criteria set by national immigration authorities.

今年3月，Camiel通过石河子市公安局出入境管理处申请了永久居留。收到申请后，该局对他的资格进行了彻底的核实。他们认识到Camiel对当地农业发展做出了重大贡献，并确定他符合国家移民局设定的永久居留批准标准。

With the approval from the National Immigration Administration, Camiel officially received his permanent residence permit on October 21, marking a milestone for foreign nationals in the Xinjiang Corps.
